Build a Masjid
A Masjid provides a place for prayer and everyday community services. It is also a hub to learn more about Islam and for education, moral and spiritual development.
In rural communities, a Masjid is much more than a place for worship – they are a symbol for hope and the heart of community life.
By building a Masjid, you will not only earn the reward of providing a community with a house of Allah, but your Sadaqah Jariya can continue giving benefit for generations to come.
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity*); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)’. (Muslim).

Life Stories
Building Masjids
Mazhar Abbas is one of nearly 500 people in his village who had to travel several miles to attend prayers. The Masjid built by one of our donors means they can pray and learn especially for the 70 children in the village.
Mazhar said:
“We all thank the donor, this is a dream come true and a blessing for my son and daughter and all of us. It is not just a place of prayer but a symbol of hope and unity for our community.”

Your donations gave Hafeez and his village a place to pray together.
Hafeez said:
“We had no Masjid nearby and the adults and children had to walk a few miles to attend prayers and Quran classes. This will really help us all and give ‘Jannah’ to the donors, Ameen.”

You built a Masjid for Sajid and his villagers to stop them walking three miles to their nearest Masjid!
Sajid said:
“I am so happy that we can pray in our own Masjid now and that the children learn the Quran – this is a Sadaqah Jaariya that will really benefit the people who donated”.
